  A week ago we had my niece's wedding reception at Nellie's. I was very impressed with the service, food and restaurant atmosphere. I loved everything! The decor is a great add on for about any wedding theme. The food was amazing! The staff went above and beyond the call of duty. They even helped putting up and taking down decorations. Thank you Brooke and everyone else!

  The restaurant alright. Had a 12:30 reservation but we were seated 20 minutes later. They use non-filtered tap water, but soda and coffee were good. My son's food came out cold. They happily took it back and brought him hot food. However, he thinks they microwaved it. I don't know, but he did say that his food was good. My daughter said her food didnt' have much flavor. As for my dish, I had the breakfast biscuit which was very tasty! I would give 4 stars but both of the things my son ordered were cold and the wait for your food to be served is too long.

  The server didn't mention the specials and I found out I would have really liked the special but stuck with what I ordered to begin with which was the lemon roasted chicken with Mac and cheese and vegetables. I asked if the vegetables were sweet and she said they weren't, but when I got them they had some kind of sweet sauce all over them. It took almost an hour to get food and we didn't get any refills from our waitress. I sent back the chicken because it tasted like it had been soaked in lemon juice for days and was too bitter to eat, the chicken was also over cooked and the size of a small fist. I got the catfish and by this time everyone was done eating so I had to get the catfish Togo. When I got it home and ate some, the fish tasted like dirt and the fried skin was slimy. I paid 50$ for mine and my boyfriends meal and neither of us were impressed. Won't be going back.
